Hello, Wrangler!

Yessss. Just as the title suggests, I welcomed the beau/beast last night!

I went to a car dealership in the south suburb of Chicago; bought (traded in my 2010 Ford Escape for) a new 2016 Jeep Wrangler. It's a 4 wheel drive; granite crystal metallic in color with a hard top, and it's oh so sexy!!

(photo from my snapchat)

If you need full deets on the car (interior/features), please refer to google.

I loved my Ford; it served its purpose and got me through Chicago snow storms. I got it in March 2014.
Buuuuttt...the Jeep will do a better job. I hope.

I can't wait to take its tops off in the summer.

Oh happy day :)

By 25...

Traveling is something I want to do more of this year; before life gets busy...again.

Before I turn 25, I would like to have traveled to at least 10 to 15 states.
Below is a list of U.S. states I've been to (mainly Midwest), and the ones I'm yet to visit. The city I've visited are in bold.

In no particular order, they are:
1. Illinois- Yes? I'm counting Illinois because I'm originally from Nigeria ;) I've lived in Chicago for almost 9 years (in and out).
2. Missouri- I visited this state a lot of times because I schooled in Edwardsville, which is about 30mins away, and all my nursing clinical were in St. Louis. I've also been to Florissant and St. Charles, MO.
3. Indiana- My sister's husband lived in Indianapolis at a time.
4. Texas- I've been to Houston a few times because I have cousins out there, and also for family weddings.
5. Georgia- An old girl friend of mine invited me out to Atlanta because we hadn't seen each other in a very long time. I was there for 2 days, and will like to go back for a longer stay.
6. Nevada- Las Vegas was definitely on my mind when a friend of mine decided that we check the city out one weekend.
7. California- When it got colder in Chicago, my friend, Ella and I decided to go to Los Angeles for 4 days. (See our trip here).

8. Florida- Back when I was in school, my roommates and a few other girls went to Miami for spring-break 2014.

The next states/countries on my list, in no order of preference...
Canada, UAE (Dubai), Dominican Republic (PC), New York, Washington D.C., West Virginia, Colorado (Aspen) , Louisiana (New Orleans), Hawaii, New Jersey, Michigan, and Maryland.

Update: I visited 9. Canada (see here), and 10. West Virginia, 11. Maryland, and 12. Pennsylvania (see here), Lagos & Abuja, Nigeria (post coming up); 13. New York City (see here)

Please share your experiences, tips, and what I should look out for.

Thanks for stopping by!

Crazy in 'Pop

*Not an Ad*
Some people at work have asked about the lipsticks I wear-thus, my purpose for this post.

Through my friend, Yab, I got to know about ColourPop back in June 2015 when they debuted their  line of Ultra Matte liquid lipsticks. I can remember when she tried to order them online and it took forever because their site kept crashing due to the number of customers trying to make purchases.

I wear the lippies to work, and it stays on for over 12 hours! I love how their product makes my face look effortless. It blends in well, as I don't wear makeup most of the time.
Before Colourpop, I used others that slowly turned my lips black.

Teeny Tiny, Chilly Chilli, StingRaye, Kapow, LAX, Zipper, Tulle, Trap, Bumble, Chilly Chilli, Tulle
Lately, I've been into the whole nude look. I wear Tulle or Chilly Chilli, to work.

The first set they produced are very drying and I usually use a lip balm/gloss (clear) before application. The newer ones have a lighter consistency and are OK.

My favorites so far have to be Tulle, Chilly Chilli, and Trap-only when worn with a "beat face". I've surely restocked, should in case they stop producing them.
I'd do a swatch for you guys, but there's a reason why our YouTubers exist, right? ;)

And they sell for $6 each. What a bargain!

Let me know what you think.

Clear Choice- Follow Up

Yesterday, Monday, was my follow up after my temporary(temps) implants were placed 8 weeks ago. I went to get an impression- to see how my gums have taken shape over the temps, and to guide the final teeth structure. They took out the temps to take an impression.
Ignore the ashy mouth.
After impressions were taken, my temps were altered a bit after making a request for them to look more natural.

The access points for the temps are in front of the teeth (which were closed with pasted cement, or whatever they're called). The access point for the final porcelain will be in the back of the teeth.

I'm to go back in 3 weeks for the final abutments; then in 2 weeks for the final procedure.

Happy New Year

Happy 2016, everyone!!
Wow. 2015 really flew by, like, I can't even...I'll leave it at that.
My family and I were blessed beyond measures, and the highlight of it all was my big sis getting married to the love of her life.
I learned so much last year, and I grew immensely- in my career, relationships (with people), and me as a person. The only part I failed to grow in was my faith in Christ, and I hope to get closer to Him this year.
I know for a certainty that this year will be bigger and better, God willing.

While I don't necessarily make resolutions for a new year, I'd like to say that some things I'll like to do more of are: blogging, traveling, going to the gym (for health- please I'm not trying to lose anything. Reverse dieting is the way forward this year. Ha!), and also worshiping my Maker [I'm yet to find a church in Chicago that I'm comfortable in].

That being said...
I thank God for this new year. May 2016 bring us all lots of love, joy, and happiness.
We will all move to greater heights; bigger opportunities for growth in all aspects of our lives. May God shelter us and protect us from evil doers- we will not lose our loved ones to the wickedness going on.
We will prosper! In Jesus' name. Amen.

Have a prosperous new year.
