New In: Dear Zara...
...thank you.
Hey guys!
So today I walked into a Zara store downtown Chicago and I was glad.
Three months ago, I ordered the Zara I-basic sandal in beige and orange and was displeased when my package arrived because they sent me the red and purple version of it >:(

Welp I had returned it to be exchanged for my original purchase but they did a refund instead...and I had since then forgotten the shoes.
So while walking the streets of Michigan, I walked into Zara with my friend where I spotted the all black pair and fell in love.

***I know I'm into neutral colors, but black seems to be taking over. HELP***
They also have this in blue & green.
I love Zara shoes because they're so chic! You should check em out if you haven't.

Davido- Ekuro (Official Music Video)
Four words...I love this song!
Here's the official music video which premiered today on his YouTube channel
If this is your first time listening to this song, quick, download it and send to your significant other. You're welcome :))
This song is just too lovely with the lyrics nicely worded.
Deemoney, RELOAD.
...for some of you that are unfamiliar with the name...
To most people he's known as DJ Deemoney.
Deemoney is a Nigerian (naija) DJ that knows how to work his way with the people and knows how to fill venues and draw crowds on events like Afro Fusion. He has grown to become one of my favorite naija DJs.

What's the deal?
Well, DJ Deemoney is out with a mix that is out of this continent. No, literally. His newest mix has people going crazy, and I had no choice but to join in the frenzy.

While it irks me to manually download and then burn the latest naija music, Deemoney has made things easier for people like me-- he has something for us to groove to this memorial weekend. Brilliant huh??
He's made so many mixes with his latest being Naija Gbedu Reloaded Vol 8. My favorite yet.

Next Afrofusion: Friday, June 15th @theShrine, Chicago.

#DIY: Lee & Levi's
Save yourself some money and Do IT Yourself!
Hi guys. So today I thought I'd modify two of my previously distressed jeans since I couldn't find new pairs at the thrift store.
I wish there's a picture of what the pants looked like, but it's no use crying over spilled milk. Yeah? OK :)
Note that both pants were plain when I bought them, so everything was done from scratch. And they're high waisted! OW!
LEE
Measure the desired length of your jeans and cut with a pair of scissors.
Fray the hem of your new shorts to create that distress look. Play around with it!
To design (using patterns), be creative.
Since polka dot is in for the summer, I thought I'd dot one side. You can bleach all or partof it, or give it stripes. How about tie-dye??
I dipped a rolled up paper towel into a cup of bleach and dabbed on my shorts. Repeat that step again, wait for 20mins, and voila!
LEVI STRAUSS
Measure the desired length of your jeans and cut with a pair of scissors.
Leave an extra inch or two to create a fold (if you wish).
Fold up the ends of your shorts.
With a nail file or a sand paper, rub against your shorts.
In my case I had to use a pair of scissors.
Give it some extras... and you're done!
You can't see much of what I did with the Levi's because of it's color and bad lightning.
Whenever I'm able to acquire new pair jeans (from the thrift store of course), I'll make a tutorial from start to finish.
Have a lovely Memorial Day weekend.
