Almost Spring!

If you live in Chicago, you'll understand how frustrated people can get with the bipolar weather. It teases us with 50 degrees one day, then goes below 0 the next day. Then snow storm the following day...like pause! Anyway, I'm used to the weather and I try not to get too excited.

Today it was 58 degrees and I seized the opportunity to step out, seeing as it'll be nice out for the next few days (while I'll be at work). So, I grabbed my friend, Funke and we headed downtown. We went to eat at Cheesecake Factory, and then browsed through stores at Water Tower. 

I'm wearing a boyfriend blazer that I made fitted, using a belt!

Recycle (Monochrome)

So...

I finally made use of the tripod I got for Christmas. Handling it for the first time was a one heck of a job!

I couldn't get used to running back and forth between seconds just to get in place before the camera does its job. And because I don't have a remote for my camera, I had to time it for 10secs (max).

Another problem I had was getting the right shade and lighting. Finding a location wasn't difficult. Since I'm not bold enough to stand in crowded areas with my tripod like some bloggers do, I found my local community park.

I got this dress from Forever XXI 2011 spring collection two years ago, and it was worn once. There are many dresses in my closet that share similar stories. So I thought to myself, why not recycle?

I find myself buying dresses and wearing them on one or two occasions,ending up with piles of clothes taking up unnecessary space. Nothing new to many women out there.

So, again I thought, why not recycle? If a dress is worn once, why put it away? Perhaps, I could wear them twice (or more) and sell on eBay? 

I'll try this and see how sale goes. If fruitful, I'm definitely sticking to it.

After all, I'm no millionaire...yet *_*

What To Wear: Spring Season

OK, I know this post is long overdue.

It's spring!!! At least that's what it ought to be...and it soooo doesn't seem like it. Some of us even got snowed in yesterday!!

Well, I put together an outfit for the new season.

I included the poncho since the weather's still a bit cool. When it gets a lot warmer, sandals would be better with the outfit.

I'm a little tied with school work. But no more excuses! Come May, I'll update my style post regularly. There's so much I want to show you guys!
