LA LA Land

Hey beautiful people!

OK this post is going to be long and tiring to type because I'm blogging from my phone- I don't feel like sending files to my computer and then downloading them.

Alright. So on the 13th of November, my friend Ella and I traveled to California. Yes, Friday the 13th! It had been a long week, and day for us; traveling almost 4 hours made it all tiring. We arrived Cali to the Paris attack news. *God bless them*

We arrived Los Angeles at approximately 5pm, and the drive to our apartment downtown was 1hour 30mins. L.A. traffic is no joke. Still better than Lagos traffic.
We found our AirBnB apt the day before traveling because the first one we had canceled on us on Thursday. So after work on Thursday, I did a quick search and found our hostess, "A". It was my first time using the site. I'm usually in a hotel or at a family/ friend's home when I visit a city. Ella on the other hand has had a few experiences with AirBnB.

When we got to L.A., we immediately went to look for food, after which we decided to take a nap (bad idea) before going to party at Playhouse nightclub. We overslept! I woke up at 2:30am, Ella was still in dreamland. We had also purchased our party tickets (S/O to our bank for refunding our money!).

Saturday morning.
We set out to go to Hollywood, because honestly speaking, there isn't much to see downtown of LA besides the 1 million and one jewelry stores at every corner. We also walked past some music/movie/photo sets on the streets.
So we took the Redline from 7th and Metro to Hollywood and Vine. There we walked the Walk of Fame and then got to tour the city via Prime Time Hollywood Tourz.

We started the tour down Mulholland dr, where we saw the homes of Justin Timberlake, Ice tee, Gwen Stephanie, Katty Perry, Bruno Mars, Eddie Murphy, and others.
We climbed up to the top where we could see the Hollywood sign and the beautiful city!

To continue the tour, we drove through Beverly Hills where we drove past Jackie Chan's home, and Manny Pacquio's (P.Diddy's old home).

Jackie Chan's home
We then drove through Bel-Air, passed Micheal Jackson's home, Rodeo Drive where they have the most expensive stores.

We then passed Wilshire Blvd- all the businesses, car dealerships, and banks are located. Lots of banks!

Furthermore, we drove through West Hollywood- saw Sur restaurant whose owner is Lisa Vanderpump of "Vanderpump Rules"- the TV show on Bravo.

We then drove through Sunset Blvd with their nice clubs and restaurants.

After the tour, we had dinner, relaxed a bit, then got ready for Playhouse club- with French Montana as the host (it was his Birthday celebration). Also present at the club were Chris Brown, ASAP Rocky, and T.I. It was a good night...nothing too special about the club to be honest.

Sunday.
It was supposed to be a rainy and gloomy day. We quickly got our legs in the rooftop pool while the sun was still out. We were home all day on Sunday. We did go out to get food though.

Monday.
We stayed in during the day on Monday, except when we had to get food of course.

We went to get a 1hour full body massage which was very relaxing. As hardworking nurses, we needed that ;)

We took a stroll down Pershing Square and then set out to Hollywood once again to explore some more. We went to the Chinese Theater, Hollywood Wax Museum, Ripley's Believe It or Not, and Guiness Book of World Records.
Below will be pictures from these locations. Enjoy!

After the night, we went back home and got ready for our flight on Tuesday morning. Oh, we also went to a comedy show Monday night.

Tuesday morning, we took a stroll towards this part of LA we'd never been with lots of Hispanics, in the direction of Korea town. The street is so busy; kinda reminded me of Lagos.

Phew! Blog post over. It was nice to visit Los Angeles, finally!
We sure spent a lot of money on food and transportation- since we didn't drive and parking isn't the greatest out there.

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend cos I did!

Thanks for stopping by.
